Gaming Group to Splash USD 45m for Development of Louisiana Race Track

Upgrades are set to be made to all 200 rooms currently in the Delta Hotel with the inclusion of an extra 167 visitor’s suite and apartments.
The new design plan for the Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel will also include a new extension for unique activities, such as entertainment facilities for formal functions. Report from gambling news also added that the new plan would also see a revamp in the catering facilities and equipment.
“With 370 rooms and suites, Delta Downs will be better positioned to meet this growing demand, giving us opportunity to extend our unique brand and hospitality to more visitors ever than before,” said Boyd Gaming CEO and chief administrator Keith Smith.
Furthermore, Smith added, “by creating a broader entertainment experience, we are confident we will attract many new guests to the new Delta Down.” The CEO also mentioned that “With our new amenities, we will be giving our guests more options to enjoy, and more reasons to visit.”
Alliance between Boyd Gaming and University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV)
“This project is consistent with our ongoing project of diversifying and strengthening our non-gaming amenities and we believe it will deliver a solid return on investments for our shareholders.” Smith said. Prior to this month, Boyd Gaming revealed agreeing USD 2.5m to back up the enlargement of William F.Harrah hotel of administration at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Due to the strong ties between the UNLV and Boyd Gaming, the agreement will in turn strengthen and yield students that will later become future administrators of the gaming corporation. Likewise, mobile casinos also add that the local stadium of the UNLV’s football squad is dubbed after Sam Boyd.
In addition, the company and board of directors have committed to various plans of the University for over 3 decades along with the a USD 30m individual aid from Chief Executive Bill Boyd to establish the William S. Boyd school of law at the UNLV.
