Joe And Co Meet Queen In Impish Humor At G7

Cornwall, the long southerly westward extension of the UK, is quite picturesque. It has dramatic coastlines backed by beautiful countryside. A lovely place for the G7 Summit at which America began to emerge, diplomatically, from under the shadow of its former President. Luckily, you can bet on Joe Biden continuing to provide a stark contrast as the US returns to the grown-ups table. So why do online sportsbook sites in the US like Bovada still give him 3/1 to quit the White House this year?
“I don’t think she’d be insulted but she reminded me of my mother.” You can bet on Joe Biden meaning that as a compliment. After all, it’s not done to insult a Queen. Of course, she is only 17 years older than him, so who knows? The Queen is in a funny mood. Joe Biden met her at Windsor but at the G7 she, like he, was putting her best foot forward. He’s trying to clamber out from beneath the diplomatic mess Trump left behind, and she’s just lightly trolling everyone.
“Are you supposed to look like you’re having fun?” The impish Queen asked during the G7 photocall. You can bet on Joe Biden finding that amusing. Everyone else did. Well, everyone except Boris Johnson at whom the jibe was probably aimed. Unlike Joe he’s having a rotten time at the G7 in Cornwall. Which makes it all the weirder that online betting sites in the US like Bovada still give such short odds to an early Biden exit. Just what’s driving these weirdo prices?
Joe Biden Leads America Out Of The Dark Ages
There are, of course, numerous reasons. One of the most salient is political expediency. The Dems, facing a tricky set of mid-term elections, may want a younger female face on the campaign. The vice-President ready and waiting to go. No one is entirely sure the Democrats won’t do it. Some even bet on Joe Biden and Kamala Harris having agreed a deal ahead of time on just this subject. Of course that sort of thinking rivals some of the more outlandish conspiracy theories.
“We’re in a contest with autocrats.”
- Joe Biden – US President at the G7 Summit
A lot of people thought Joe was just a stalking horse. They bet on Joe Biden winning the election and then, after a suitable interval, stepping aside to let Harris take the reins. Obviously, a lot of these were Republicans still smarting from an election loss, but many weren’t. Anyone in the US gambling laws of decency and fair play apply to Democratic primaries hasn’t paid attention. Joe might be riding high now, but the party could have him out on his ear if the poll show him losing.
Bovada Has All The Odds For A Bet On Joe Biden
One must also remember his age. Health issues could easily render him unable to continue holding the post, he’s 78. So online bookies in the US like Bovada aren’t really stretching reality with those 3/1 odds. After all, if they’re going to push him out it’ll have to happen this year, and if his health isn’t up to the job we’ll soon know. Either way those odds on Joe Biden aren’t at all bad. Although that said, 2025 or later gets a far shorter 4/5 with the intervening years at 6/1-ish.

The odds on Kamala Harris taking over are, frankly, a little lengthy. Oh you can bet on Kamala Harris doing the job if push comes to shove, but to oust him for her? The Democratic party would need to be very brave indeed to try it, or rather be very desperate. So you can probably bet on Joe Biden liking his chances, given his poll numbers. Hell, you can even bet on Joe Biden winning in 2024, if you’re the sort of person who likes a bet on sports in the US with a distinctly outside edge.
