There is no need for you to tire yourself with research about your favourite movies: we have done it for you. Visit the most famous sets in Vegas.

There are some iconic movies that everyone loves to watch over and over again. They provide consolation and laughter, excitement and suspense.

• Riviera is an all-time favorite
• James Bond roamed Tropicana
• Mars Attacks! attacked Vegas

It is one thing to watch our favorites to the point where we’ve got everything memorized… but it’s a completely different adventure to embark on a trip to actually see the settings in real life. To feel the atmosphere and walk where your beloved actors gave their best performance. Now that is something!

Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)

Lethal Weapon 4They really went all-in with this cast list: Jet Li, Joe Pesci, Rene Rousso, Chris Rock, Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Chris Rock. Wow. The movie itself is a cop action film, your classic cop flick. With a mix of funny dialogues and action, it is centered around the lives of three detectives, and the cliché of “my wife’s dad is my boss and he doesn’t know we’re married” comes through. But, it is really something that will provide a nice addition to playing in US poker rooms. Drive through the Las Vegas Beltway when you got bored with gambling.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

Fear and loathing in Las VegasI don’t think there is anyone who was alive in 1998 and hasn’t at least heard of this film (babies and toddlers are an exception, obviously…) This Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro film is great because it has an awesome “voice”: it’s dark humor is just wonderful. They used the Stardust Hotel and Casino and the Riviera Casino. Although these two closed, walk around the neighborhood to get a feel for the set.

Con Air (1997)

Nicholas Cage John Cussack ConAirBack when Nicholas Cage was doing decent movies, this was a serious action film directed by the well-known Jerry Bruckheimer. And, with John Cussack and John Malkovich on board (pun intended,) this in-the-air action packed motion picture will keep you sitting at the edge of your chair, not blinking an eye. Something like what you do when you play on mobile betting sites. Apart from the most obvious set (the plane,) they shot some scenes at the Sands Hotel.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)

Crazy, funny and a dash of confusion are what make this movie great. Fun fact: Mike Myers actually wrote the screenplay (which, from my point of view, makes this movie an even bigger accomplishment from his part.) This movie is the ultimate parody of spy movies and they really get the job done. Here, the crew used three main Las Vegas locations: the Las Vegas Strip, Riviera Casino and The Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, which currently is called The Linq and is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

Mars Attacks! (1996)

With some of the best actors: Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Pierce Brosnan, Danny DeVito, Michael J. Fox and Natalie Portman, this movie can be summed up in one word: lovely. Tim Burton (another big name in this industry,) directed it and brought to us a smashing science fiction comedy that was loved by many. And it still is. To film some of the most marvelous scenes, they used the Las Vegas Strip and the Landmark Hotel. Stroll along after a session of mobile casino gambling!

Diamonds Are Forever (1971)

Diamonds are Forever posterThe seventh film in the James Bond series, it stars Sean Connery as the charmeur-spy. In this particular action movie, Bond has to go undercover to infiltrate a diamond-smuggling gang. Most of the scenes that required casino interiors were shot at the studio, but they also managed to get permission to film in the famous and refined Las Vegas International Hotel. They also shot some scenes at Circus-Circus and Tropicana.

Ocean’s Eleven (1960)

Original Ocean’s ElevenThis list wouldn’t be complete without the original Ocean’s Eleven. The basis of the whole casino-robbing-in-Vegas genre, it inspired many great movies (some named after it.) So, watch the movie about the original badass Rat Pack and go ahead, take a tour around the city to check out these places. Locations like the Sahara, the Riviera, Desert Inn, Sands Hotel and the Flamingo Casinos await your arrival. After you finished your session on English poker sites, that is.
