Following a great run with club competitions, we now turn our attention to round 5 of the EURO qualifiers.
Until now we seen great matches as national sides go up against one another to reach the EURO tournament being held in France next year. However, the games are about to get a lot more competitive as each country will aim to make their presence known in round 5 so they can represent themselves on the great football stage.
• England looking to continue good run against Lithuania
• Macedonia and Belarus face uncertain game
• Sweden will be aiming to overcome Moldova away
EU gambling news reports that current leaders England will face Lithuania in Group E in a match that is expected to lean towards the hosts. In Group C Macedonia will play against Belarus, however both sides have disappointed many times so far. Liechtenstein will host Austria, while Sweden will try to get all the 3 points from their visit to Moldova.
England vs Lithuania and Macedonia vs Belarus
England have been put in a group that features some less promising sides, which has enabled them to make the most of their encounters. The Three Lions sit in 1at place with an overall 12 points, having managed to win every single 1 of their games so far. Their goal record is also quite impressive, which stands at 11 goals for and 1 only 1 against. That is why they are viewed as the absolute favorites to win the next match against Lithuania at home 1.10 (1/10), per Bet365.
The visiting team don’t stand a realistic chance to make a serious impact in the game, with tier odds being 19.00 (18/1). A miracle of sorts would have to happen for them to win the game, so a draw 10.00 (9/1) is most that they can hope to achieve against England. The Lithuanians are all the way down in 4th place with only 6 points and a goal difference of -3.
The encounters in Group C should offer plenty of superb matches for punters to score some big rewards. Macedonia, who currently occupy 4th position, have accumulated only 3 points from 4 outings. They suffered 3 losses and managed to win only 1 game from which they have conceded a staggering 10 goals and have found the back of the net on only 4 occasions. Their chances for the match against Belarus are not so favorable 2.70 (17/10).
The visitors stand in 1 place below their upcoming opponents with an even worse record (1 draw and 3 losses). The only aspect that is slightly more commendable for the Belarusians is that they conceded less goals (9), but have also scored less managing only 2 in 4 appearances. Mobile betting sites don’t have high hopes for them in the qualifiers, however for this game they been dealt preferential chances 2.60 (8/5), with a draw being 3.25 (9/4).
Liechtenstein vs Austria and Moldova vs Sweden
In Group G, Liechtenstein will go head to head with neighbors Austria at home on Friday afternoon. However, the hosts are set to face a team that is experiencing fine form at the moment so it will be difficult for them to instill their own playing philosophy. So far they managed to notch only 1 wins, while the other 3 encounters resulted in 1 draw and 2 losses. Their chances to win the match are very limited 13.00 (12/1).
The Austrians on the other hand are enjoying great success at the moment having won 3 of their 4 games and only suffering 1 draw. This granted with a cool 10 points and a goal difference of +3. Their chances to win the next encounter against Liechtenstein are quite high 1.17 (1/6), while a tie for the game stands at an unlikely 7.50 (13/2).
Moldova will square off against Sweden at home in Group G, however this game seems quite uncertain as they both have disappointed their fans several times until now with their performances. The home team have recorded 1 draw and 3 losses in 4 matches so far, which gave them only 1 point. They are considered one of the least promising sides, so Sweden will be aiming to take advantage of that to improve their standing.
The Scandinavian side are 2nd with 6 points, however despite claiming a high position they have underperformed for some reason. In their first 2 outings they tied, while on their third game they finally managed to record a win against Liechtenstein. After that they once against blundered and suffered a draw against Montenegro away. This upcoming game should see them clinch a victory and claim all the 3 points, according to online sportsbooks in EU. Their odds for a win stand at 1.40 (2/5).
