Mario Balotelli scored 18 goals for AC Milan in the last season, but despite that things don’t seems to be going well for the star striker in Italy, therefore his transfer to another team is surely expected soon.
The new Premier League’s season in the UK is starting soon and teams are trying to use the time to get their desired players as soon as possible.
After attracting Alexis Sanchez, who became the second most expensive signing in Arsenal’s history after Mesut Özil, as well as the club’s first ever Chilean player, now all efforts seem to be concentrated on signing Mario Balotelli.
Aresenal’s new transfer tactics
After returning from Brazil, the Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger has been quite upfront with the media, giving details about the team spirit and potential transfers, which make both players and fans quite optimistic about the new season.
It seems that new era is starting at the Emirates Stadium with an obvious shift in the transfer tactics, as the team will probably count more and more on young talents, rather than already proven stars.
Therefore, the potential arrival of Mario Balotelli in London raised the excitement even higher, especially after Paddy Power, gave odds at 4/9 that the player will join Arsenal, giving a chance to everyone who bet on sports in the UK to earn some extra cash.
More teams interested
The rumors got even bigger when the Italian national star just posted a picture of himself posing next to the Arsenal club crest, when he was on vacation.
Currently the Rossoneri deny all rumors regarding potential transfer of Balotelli to the British team, through Adriano Galliani, vice-president and CEO of Milan who said: “We have not received any offer for him (Balotelli) and at this time, there is nothing from Arsenal.”
Naturally, nothing will be officially announced before an actual signing is 100% confirmed, but when it comes to this player, it’s not surprising at all that there is more than one team, seriously interested in getting him to play for them.
The second one in line is Monaco at 4/1, which desperately needs to sign with a star, after the upcoming departure of the star Colombian James Rodriguez, who was a goal machine during the 2014 World Cup tournament.
Teams with rather less chances
The other team that needs an immediate replacement is Liverpool, especially after the signing of Luis Suarez with Barcelona. The second UK team competing for Balotelli is available at 6/1, according to Paddy Power, which follows all UK gambling laws.
Next in line comes , Paris Saint-Germain with odds at 10/1, as they have been attracting a lot of players from the Italian Serie A, therefore their attempt to get Mario, so he can play with other former Milan players Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is not surprising at all.
The same odds are given to Galatasaray and Chelsea, as former Italian national team manager Cesare Prandelli may try to bring the striker to Turkey, same with the former Inter boss Jose Mourinho, attempting to do the same for the British team.
Last comes Manchester United, which seems like it will spend a fortune for new selection after the arrival of its new manager Louis Van Gaal, with odds at 14/1, and too much of a hope that Balotelli will sign with his former team’s enemy. Real Madrid is available at the same odds, but the actual chances of a transfer in Spain don’t seem prosperous.
Summary of Paddy Power’s odds for transfer:
Arsenal: 4/9
Monaco: 4/1
Liverpool: 6/1
PSG/Galatasaray/Chelsea: 10/1
Manchester United: 14/1
Real Madrid: 14/1
