The Italian football Cup offers players and punters alike superb games to follow and make money from with shrewd ivestments.
AC Milan will have a chance to redeem themselves against Lazio and let everyone know in Italian football that they’ve still got it to make a difference. However, Italian gambling news reports that making a serious impact in the game will be difficult against an in-form Lazio, which are considered quite a strong team at the moment.
Parma will also go up against Juventus on Wednesday in a game that should see the latter side emerge victorious. And then next week we will see AS Roma play Fiorentina at home while Inter will travel to Napoli in an attempt to usurp the favorite side.
AC Milan vs Lazio and Parma vs Juventus
Although the national league competition differs somewhat in the nature and at times philosophy of football, we can still use the Serie A as a reference point to predict future success in the Coppa Italia. The Rossoneri currently sit in 10th position in the league with only 26 points form 20 games, which is a far cry from the team that they once were when they dominated over Europe.
Their next opponents Lazio are in a far better shape than they are as they find themselves in 3rd place behind Juventus and AS Roma. While playing at home they have notched 7 wins and 3 losses, but while playing away they have a more even record (3 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses), which does not spell success for them in the Cup. Bet365 believes that AC Milan will win the game 2.50 (3/2), however Lazio have been enjoying fine form recently which is why they would seem like the more probable winners 2.90 (19/10).
• Juventus favorites against Parma
• AC Milan face uncertain battle against Lazio at home
• AS Roma and Fiorentina will lock horns at Stadio Olimpico
Parma will square off against Serie A leaders Juventus on Wednesday evening. The Turin side have won three leagues titles consecutively so far and they are on course to win their fourth. The game against Parma will be just another one of those minor encounters which should see them crowned as the winners and successfully move on to the next semi-finals.
Online sportsbooks in Italy are all vying for Juventus to win considering their superiority in every department. Bet365 has ranked them as strong favorites 1.30 (3/10), while Parma have been dealt unlikely chances 10.00 (9/1). A draw between the two has been set at a high 5.00 (4/1), but looking at all the relevant stats Juventus should easily overcome their opponents.
AS Roma vs Fiorentina and Napoli vs Inter
Next week on Tuesday we will have a chance to see AS Roma play against Fiorentina at their famed ground Stadio Olimpico. This will most likely be an exhilarating encounter to watch for many loyal fans considering that the Cup is approaching its latter stages. The club from the capital stand in 2nd place with 41 points with a home record of 7 wins, 3 draws and not a single loss.
Fiorentina, who are 6th in the league, will have a hard time breaking through the hosts’ defensive lines. Bet365 favors Roma to seal a win 1.80 (4/5) and it is easy to see why. A draw 3.50 (5/2) is the best result that Fiorentina can hope although realistically this game will probably end in a Roma win. Miracles at Cup games can happen at times, however Fiorentina are deemed outsiders 4.50 (7/2) for this clash.
Lastly, Napoli will host Inter on Wednesday night where they will have the backdrop of their stadium to rely on and the fierce home support to support them through tough moments. Napoli have fallen down the table in recent times and they currently sit 5th with 33 points with a home record of 4 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses.
Inter on the other hand have been going through some tough times and are still in a transitional phase after appointing former manager Mancini for a second spell at the popular club. They are 9th in the league with only 26 points which is why Bet365 has ranked them as outsiders 4.33 (10/3), per Italian gambling laws. A win for Napoli has been set at 1.83 (5/6), an event which is quite likely.
