Cogetech and Inspired Gaming Enter Video Lottery Partnership

Cogetech is improving its gambling offer with new technology and high-definition games provided by Inspired Gaming.

Inspired Gaming and Italian gaming operator Cogetech have recently closed a partnership for video lottery terminal (VLT) services. Under the deal, the Italian company will improve its services with Open VLT cabinets, new technology and high-definition games offered by Inspired Gaming.

Fabio Schiavolin, chief executive officer of Cogetech, commented: “We are committed to providing the best range of entertainment to our players, and Inspired’s VLT products and games are proven to be popular with Italian players.

Inspired has been present on the Italian market for a while now, through several partnerships with local gambling businesses. The company offers virtual sports on Microgaming platforms, a content provider to over 30 online gambling sites in Italy.

“No” to gambling ads

In other local gambling news, lawmakers have recently voted to ban all TV and radio commercials that promote gambling in Italy. The new regulations still have to be approved by the House of Representatives. For some reason, the new regulations do not apply to online casinos, which can be freely advertised under Italian gambling laws.

In fact, the Italian online gambling market is growing. The local regulator has recently given the green light for a new virtual sports betting platform, offered by Global Bet and Microgaming. Up to 200 companies will be able to use the new platform, provided they have a registered domain in the country.
