CEV Champions League 2020 Betting Odds: Italian or Russian Win?

Russian and Italian teams have been dominating the men’s volleyball top European club tournament. The reigning champion is the Italian side Cucine Lube Civitanova. The CEV Champions League 2020 betting odds are giving them the most chance to win again this season, let’s see which teams can stop them. 

 After the qualification, 20 volleyball teams are competing in the CEV Champions League in five 4-teamed groups. We find 3 teams from the best countries, Italy, Russia and Poland. The tournament has been running since 2000 before it was called CEV European Champions Cup. In the former competition, another Russian team, CSKA Moscow was dominating. 

This season probably Volley Lube will have the more difficult road to the final. Their group definitely looks stronger with the Turkish side Fenerbahce and compatriot Trentino in it. Still qualifying to the last 12 should be an easy task for the team. 

Other favorites to win the Champions League

As it was mentioned Italian sides are generally doing great in the tournament, and Itas Diatec Trentino is another example of that. They won the Champions League for three consecutive years between 2008 and 2011. Last time they appeared there in the 2015-16 season when they only lost in the final against Zenit. They’ve also had a prestigious history in the league, finishing second in 2017 and third in 2018.
