The latest Black Widow box office predictions are out. The long-awaited MCU movie about Natasha Romanoff will be out this July both in theaters and on Disney+. At that rate, can Black Widow beat such box office hits of the year as Hi, Mom and Fast & Furious 9?
Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Weisz, and Florence Pugh is almost here. After several changes of release date, Marvel’s Natasha Romanoff solo movie received its final premiere date in the US – July 9th. Simultaneously, the film will be out on Disney+. How much will it affect the box office? Will the superhero movie surpass the other 2021 hits such as Hi, Mom and Fast & Furious 9? Here are all Black Widow box office predictions from online sportsbooks in Hungary.
Black Widow box office predictions: the opening weekend in the US
The long-awaited Marvel’s Black Widow has quite an optimistic box office expectation. Despite the movie’s premiere on Disney+, it is predicted to debut well in the domestic box office. Early predictions have Black Widow surpassing Fast & Furious 9 which was earlier predicted to break this year’s box office record. Although F9 is still believed to become the highest-grossing movie in 2021, Black Widow can easily beat in the US.
As of now, Black Widow is predicted to gross $60-90 million on the opening weekend in the US. 1xBet confirms it with the best odds given on the movie to gross more than $72.5 million in the domestic box office in the first days. It is better than this year’s best result set by A Quiet Place Part II ($42 million) and than the estimated F9 opening weekend box office (around $60 million). In total, the movie can gross ca. $170-250 million in the US only. If so, Black Widow will set a new record in the domestic box office among all premieres in 2021.
Will Black Widow be the highest-grossing film in 2021?
Another question that bothers Marvel fans is whether Black Widow can become the highest-grossing film of the year or not. Unfortunately, it is only fourth on the list of the most possible highest-grossing films so far. An estimated top-10 of the biggest hits in 2021 looks like this at 1xBet (including films that were released earlier this year):
- Hi, Mom
- Spider-Man: No Way Home
- Fast & Furious 9
- Black Widow
- Godzilla vs Kong
- No Time To Die
- The Eternals
- Dune
- A Quiet Place Part II
- Top Gun: Maverick
As we can see, another Marvel movie’s chances to break the box office record are quite low. Why? As we have already mentioned, Black Widow will be released through Disney+ with Premier Access simultaneously with its premiere on big screens. This will significantly affect the final box office results as cinemas haven’t fully recovered yet. In addition, people have a choice between Natasha Romanoff’s adventures and Dominic Toretto’s gang this summer as F9 is scheduled to premiere just two weeks earlier than the MCU movie. Therefore, you can use online gambling sites in Hungary with the best odds on Black Widow failing to become the highest-grossing film in 2021.
