Big Fish and Betable launch casino app offering real-money gambling in the UK.

Seattle-based mobile application developer Big Fish Games and gambling operator Betable signed a deal in August 2012 for the co-development of mobile gaming titles. The two companies announced on Tuesday the launch of Big Fish Casino app.

The application offers free fun play to all customers. Real money mobile gambling and mobile slots play is available in Great Britain, in full compliance with the British gambling laws.

The app uses gambling programs and algorithms from Betable. The operator expressed its plans to combine gambling with social gaming through other deals in the future. In addition, the software uses Betable’s secure technology for user identification, location and age verification.

A Big Fish spokesman informed the casino app is just the first in the series of games developed with Betable. However, the spokesman gave no further news, dates or any details about new products or co-operation between the two companies.

The mobile version Big Fish Casino is coming out in the Apple App Store in the United Kingdom and runs on and optimizes for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The application is compatible with the new Apple products, iPad mini and iPad 4.

Big Fish claimed that its Casino app is one of the top-grossing mobile games, featuring more than 1 million monthly active gamblers around the world.

Carey DiJulio, general manager of Big Fish Casino commented: “UK Real-money betting (RMB) is just one more way we are enhancing the Big Fish Casino gameplay experience.”

DiJulio added: “With the launch of Big Fish Casino UK, real-money players in the United Kingdom can join our other Big Fish Casino players in the social aspects and thrill of mobile casino gaming from their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch anywhere they happen to be.”
