Betway Snaps Up Sponsorship in Snooker at UK Championship

Snooker,which is becoming a sport breaking new ground, has Betway betting on its success.

Betway, the online and mobile betting casino operator,in its bid to improve its marketing strategy, has decided to progressively have a stalwart stance in the professional snooker sector. It has successfully reached an agreement to take over the sponsorship, to be made evident in its first edition of the UK Championship.

Barry Hearn,the World Snooker chairman, said of the online operator sponsoring these events that “Betway recently sponsored the Shoot-Out and World Seniors Championship so they are aware of the incredible exposure they can expect through our sport”.

Betway divulges commitment to snooker fans

Betway , who operates under UK gambling laws, had already disclosed its keen interest in extending its operations into the snooker market. Betway agreed to support two World Snooker events, specifically referring to the Shoot-Out and World Seniors Championship.

According to a recent Betway casino review, its chief executive officer, Richard Akitt, commented on the deal “Betway is delighted to confirm our commitment to snooker fans everywhere by extending our presence in the sport in sponsoring such a prestigious tournament”.
