BetVictor has launched its latest advertisement campaign for the UK market in order to reach those gamblers who are interested in other sports than football.
Internet gambling in UK is quite a popular activity, yet it is not as common to wager on non-football related events, according to BetVictor. In order to overcome this problem, the bookmaker has decided to start a new television ad campaign with the help of VCCP advertising agency.
The ad is about the company’svery well-known mascot, Maurice, answering questions of general knowledge in a comical way. The purpose of the first 30-second-long ad is to popularize the online sportsbook’s services offered in horse racing and two more of them are expected to come out promoting those of tennis and cricket.
Both sides are happy with the new ad promotion
UK gambling news report what Julian Douglas, vice-chairman at VCCP, has said about their cooperation with the betting services provider. “The latest series of Maurice ads work as a suite promoting BetVictor’s non-football offering. We’re pleased to be able to cover different business priorities for BetVictor while keeping the humor and tone of the brand.”
Anton Bell, chief marketing officer at BetVictor, highlighted the importance of the new campaign. “Our Maurice character has quickly become one of the most instantly recognisable advert stars on TV today and Maurice in the ‘hot seat’ provides us with a platform to communicate to the wider betting audience, across the many sports set to dominate the British spring and summer.”
