Just when you thought you couldn’t bet on Boris Johnson to get any less sensible, he launches a drugs crackdown. Typically, the voters like this sort of thing in the UK. The hand of firm government, and all that rot. However, attacking middle class drug users when parliament’s toilets test positive for cocaine is plain daft. Still, you can always bet on the Conservative Party to think no one will mind their hypocrisy, and bet on politics in the UK to then prove them wrong.

You’d have to display remarkable optimism to bet on the Labour Party to win the next election. However, just a pinch of cynicism and one can bet on the Conservative Party to lose it anyway. Boris Johnson staggers from embarrassment to scandal and back again with shocking regularity. Even when stood on the firm ground of solid Tory ideology he still manages to look a tad stupid. He appears unable to grasp that perhaps the voters won’t forgive the party all its hypocrisy now.

At the most recent by-election they lost 75% of their majority. That’s the sort of downward trend the party machine should find alarming. Unfortunately, you can bet on the Conservative Party machine to spend most of its time defending the indefensible. They’ve no answers for any of the current crop of issues, so they’re focused on some old classics. Anyone in the UK gambling laws on drug use are due for liberalization were wrong. The government is cracking down on them.

Did You Bet On The Conservative Party Righting Itself? Oops.

This would seem, on the face of it, a populist and popular move. The Conservatives have always got good millage out of scourge-of-drugs stories. Unfortunately, you can bet on Boris Johnson already regretting even trying it. Now we’ll skip beyond the obvious flaw that you can bet on the Conservative Party to have forgotten. (Drug crackdowns never work). There are far more silly problems with this policy. Not least of which is all the drugs they’ve found in parliamentary loos.

Next UK Election Odds

  • Anyone Else – 200/1+
  • The Green Party – 100/1
  • The Liberal Democrats – 50/1
  • The Labour Party – 13/8
  • The Conservative Party – 1/2

Testing 12 of the toilets in Parliament, 11 turned up positive for cocaine. Now not even Bet365 will offer you any odds on the Conservatives looking, once again, a tad hypocritical. Especially when you target your new drug policy at middle class users, it’s like turkeys voting for Xmas. Not that you should bet on the Conservative Party to recognize this until it’s too late. They think they can retain their lead over the odds on the Labour Party at online betting sites in the UK.

Let’s go Spike catch the sh*tty politicians!

Bet365 Has All The UK Politics Odds You Need

This is unlikely. People don’t like hypocrisy in power. So when Priti Patel can bully people but you can’t, when they can have Xmas parties, but you can’t and when friends of ministers can get fast-tracked contracts and MPs are taking money which might influence their opinions……they remember. Now some will bet on the Conservative Party eventually correcting itself. Righting the ship, perhaps by ditching Boris. Which is a nice theory, if only it were Boris alone acting poorly.

Next UK PM Odds

  • Priti Patel – 33/1
  • James Cleverly – 33/1
  • Penny Mordaunt – 33/1
  • Ian Duncan Smith – 33/1
  • Andy Burnham – 25/1
  • Dominic Raab – 16/1
  • Sajid Javid – 16/1
  • Jeremy Hunt – 12/1
  • Michael Gove – 8/1
  • Liz Truss – 8/1
  • Keir Starmer – 7/2
  • Rishi Sunak – 2/1

Unfortunately, you should now bet on the Conservative Party sinking at an ever-increasing rate. Each time Boris Johnson has to defend the hypocrisy more tory votes slip away. So sure, a bet on Keir Starmer as the next Prime Minister seems risky. However, at this rate soon the odds on Boris Johnson surviving at online sportsbook sites in the UK like Bet365 will grow exponentially. But, just changing leader won’t scrub the party clean of sleaze, and that’s what will lose them power.
