  • Czech top tier football resumes this weekend
  • FK Teplice will host Slovan Liberec on Saturday
  • Slavia Prague lead the league 8 points ahead of Viktoria Plzen

Another European League will continue this weekend. The Czech First League will have one game this Saturday and a whole round held next Tuesday and Wednesday. One of the biggest clubs, Slavia Praha lead the league 8 points ahead of Viktoria Plzen with 6 more rounds to go before the play-offs. Bet on Czech First League, we show you the favorites of the main games.

16 teams are fighting in the Czech First League, where teams are taking place in a group system after the regular season. In this new system, which was introduced last year, the top 6 teams play in the championship group, playing only one game against each other. Teams in the middle play for Europa league play-offs, while the last six teams play against relegation. The 16th-placed team is automatically relegated while teams in 14th and 15th place play against the 2nd and 3rd-place teams in the second league. Now the regular season will continue with the 25th round, all games will be played behind closed doors.

Bet on Czech First League and its first game this Saturday

The top tier in Czech football will start with an earlier postponed game between FK Teplice and Slovan Liberec. Online sportsbooks in the Czech Republic give similar odds for a home and away win. The guests are slightly favored with the odds of 2.40 at Bet365 Sportsbook, while the hosts odds is 2.60. Teplice are in 12th place at the moment, 12 points behind 7th-placed Liberec. In their previous meeting in Liberec they played a 1-1 draw. But the chance of another draw is not very likely right now, as both teams are still fighting for a better place before the play-offs.

Games next week

The full 25th round will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday, with all 16 teams playing again. Leader Slavia Prague will visit 5th-placed Mlada Boleslav on Tuesday night. They are the favorites to win the game with the odds of 1.50. Even though Boleslav are a solid team, Slavia are the strongest team in the league and only lost two games so far in the season.

Their biggest opponent, Viktoria Plzen will face a tougher game on Wednesday, visiting the home of Sparta Prague. Though Sparta are not doing too great this season and they are only in 9th place. But surely they will go for a victory in order to reach the top six teams for the play-off. Though they can’t really hope for the championship title which they’ve won the most, 36 times before. Online gambling sites in the Czech Republic favor them to win the game with the odds of 2.37 while Plzen has the odds of 2.90 at Bet365 Sportsbook.

The team of Jablonec is in third place at the moment, who should have an easy game at home against 14th-placed FC Fastav Zlin. They have the odds of 1.44 to win the game. While a more exciting match is expected between two teams at the bottom. Opava and MFK Karvina are both fighting against relegation. The home team is in 15th place, six points behind Karvina, who would escape right now. But it can all change still in the next six rounds and the play-offs, so both teams should aim for the points on Wednesday.
