The testing firm BBM to partner with Colombia gaming regulator in creating the country’s first-ever online casino market.
The game certification testing firm BBM Testlabs received approval from the Colombian gaming regulator, COLJUEGOS, to begin operations in the country. BBM will support the regulator by testing the products, services and networks of gaming providers to ensure quality.
The move comes after Colombian gambling laws were revised to regulate online gambling sites for the first time. COLJUEGOS and BBM will work together on homologation, the official confirmation of license applications of gaming providers.
BBM continues to bolster reputation in Latin America
BBM exec Drew Pawlak described his firm’s role in creating Colombia’s first-ever regulated iGaming industry: “BMM will work closely with COLJUEGOS during the introduction of a formal homologation into the newly regulated gaming market in Columbia.”
Last year the Austrian provider APEX hired BBM to provide game approval services for all of its online and mobile casino operations in the Latin American market. Apex chose BBM based on its regional standing, declaring that “the feedback we have received is that BMM has proven itself as the best test lab in Latin America at present…BMM’s superior standing in Latin America made BMM Testlabs the clear choice for us.”
BBM’s entrance into Colombia only stands to improve its already impeccable reputation.
