Bader vs. Nogueria Betting Odds Breakdown

Two UFC events on opposite sides of the globe take place this Saturday. Let’s take a look at the Bader vs. Nogueira betting odds with NetBet Sportsbook.
The last UFC event held in Brazil in 2017 is set to go down this Saturday. Headlining the card is an important light-heavyweight matchup between American wrestler Ryan Bader and Brazilian legend Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Bader was seen as the number one contender at light heavyweight heading into 2016. He had won five straight fights, most notably a dominant decision win over Rashad Evans. He was then scheduled to face off with Anthony Johnson in the main event of a FOX card in January, and his momentum came to a screeching halt. Johnson knocked him out just 1:26 into the first round and Bader was instantly pushed back down the rankings.
Nogeuira’s UFC career has been plagued with injuries over the years. His first fight with the promotion came in November of 2009, and since that time he has only fought 10 times. Little Nog has defeated some big names during this time including Tito Ortiz and Rashad Evans, but has struggled against the top 10 in the division.
This fight between Bader and Nogueira was not the UFC’s original plan. Alexander Gustaffson was booked to fight Nogueira first, but quickly made UK gambling news by telling the media he was forced to pull out of the fight just a few days into training camp. Now, MMA fans will be treated to a rematch between two true veterans of MMA.
Who is the betting favorite?
As we mentioned before, Bader and Nogueira have faced off before. That fight was in September 2010, and both fighters were in totally different places in their careers. Bader’s striking game was virtually non-existent at that time, but his elite wrestling allowed him to control Nogueira enough to get the decision win.
The fact that these two have already fought in the past has likely affected the Bader vs. Nogueria betting odds that most online sportsbooks in the UK have set. According to NetBet Sportsbook, he is the significant betting favorite heading into Saturday’s event with odds of 20/87. Nogueria has taken some devastating losses over the years, and is a considerable underdog in this fight with odds of 14/5.
