Brazil’s No 1 Alisson Becker leads up the finals in Russia this summer for multiple reasons. One of them is to increase his salary and to choose the highest bidder in Europe. What do Alisson transfer odds tell us so far?
The 25-year-old has established himself as one of best goalkeepers in world football, since joining Roma from Internacional in 2016. As the Brazilian heads to Russia in quest of raising the golden trophy, his transfer rumours are just hotting up. Alisson did not ask to be put up for sale by Roma, nor the Italian club expressed any intention to sell him this summer, yet several top clubs in Europe have been linked to Alisson’s move. Alisson transfer odds suggest Liverpool, Real Madrid and Chelsea to join the race according to online betting sites in Italy. When do you think the race will start and why is he wanted by the Reds, Blues and Real?
Roma Desperate to Hold on Alisson
The Serie A side plan to keep hold of the player for at least one more season. Their plan is completely reasonable since Alisson’s contract runs until June 2021. However if the goalkeeper wins 2018 World Cup, he will be strongly wanted by several European clubs who already keep an eye on him.
Online sportsbook sites in Italy even propose scenarios that could happen after the World Cup. Some expect Roma to offer Alisson a new deal, which would secure for him an increase on his wage. Others suggest Roma will not be able to resist clubs’ advances and are already preparing for life without the Brazilian goalkeeper, short-listing both Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno and Alphonse Areola of Paris Saint-Germain as a potential replacement for Alisson.

Why is Alisson wanted by Liverpool and Real Madrid? Why are Chelsea expected to join the race? According to online sportsbook news in Italy, Jurgen Klopp targets a new principal goalkeeper in the wake of Loris Karius’s horror show in the UCL final defeat against Los Blancos. According to Betvictor Sportsbook Klopp might approach Alisson first with (2.75) odds.
Real Madrid appear at the runners-up with (3.75) odds, as the future of Kaylor Navas is unclear after Zidane left the scene, nor it is clear whether the new head coach of Real Madrid will ask for Alisson or some other goalkeeper. Chelsea have joined the club with (9) odds, simply due to the ongoing uncertainty over the future of Thibaut Courtois.
It remains to be seen when the World Cup finals begin whether the goalkeeper will emerge victorious and impress the world of nations or not. If he does well many top clubs will advance with big pockets to satisfy the goalkeeper for much higher benefits than his current €1.5m yearly salary.
