Encouraging to cheat – encouraging to hack?
The CEO of Avid Life Media, Neil Biderman said that the breach was probably executed by someone who can access the internal networks of the site. “It was definitely a person here that was not an employee but certainly had touched our technical services,” declared Biderman. The hackers demand the site to be taken down, together with EstablishedMen.com.
Despite providing services to the dating community, the news about Ashley Madison being hacked has also reverberated in the online gambling industry. Online casino players have voiced their concern about the negative developments. Some fear the security breach on the dating site could also transfer to their gaming accounts and therefore endanger their winnings. While others believe that this pertains just to the dating industry.
