24-Year-Old Japanese Actress and Model Signs PokerStars Contract To Act as Ambassador

Yuiko claimed that she caught the poker bug, eventually relaxing to enjoy the game as fans that cheered her on in a recent competition.
PokerStars, a popular online poker site, owned by the Amaya company and operating under EU gambling laws, proudly announced that it has cinched a deal with Japanese model Yuiko Matsukawa. Matsukawa, along with other celebrities such as Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal, Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo, and number one poker professional Daniel Negreanu, will join the PokerStars famous people roster.
In a statement, PokerStars reiterated its commitment to promoting the popularity of online poker in Japan. “PokerStars champions the game of poker around the world and we are eager to promote its growth in Japan,” said the Director of Corporate Communications for PokerStars and Amaya, Eric Hollreiser.

Yuiko attended the Macau Poker Cup, one of the biggest international poker tournaments in the world, at PokerStars Macau in China, recently. Yuiko Matsukawa will take play online poker in EU in tournaments and marketing chores to help promote poker as a game of skill, as is her role as brand ambassador .
