The 53rd WSOP, the annual poker tournament sponsored by Caesars Entertainment will take place in the summer in Las Vegas. For the first time in the event’s history, two new hotels will host the best poker players. Bally’s Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. Both hotels are located on the Strip and have prestigious casinos. Due to the two locations, it will be one of the biggest tournaments held across 200,000 square feet and 600 poker tables. 88 bracelet events will be up for grab including a $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event. The Tournament of Champions with a $1 million prize pool will end this year’s World Series of Poker. While Hollywood actor and poker fan Vince Vaughn will be the 2022 WSOP Master of Ceremonies.
2022 WSOP Schedule Has Been Released For This Year’s Tournament
One of the most important events of the 2022 WSOP schedule, the Main Event will run between the 3rd and 16th of July. German Koray Aldemir is last year’s winner after topping a 6650 field. Now he will aim to defend his title and join legends like Johnny Moss or Stu Ungar with winning back-to-back. Besides the biggest event, we can also find some interesting new additions in the 2022 WSOP schedule. Like the $100,000 High Roller Bounty No-Limit Hold’em with a $25000 bounty rewarded for every eliminated player. Starting on the first day, it will run for three days and will allow one re-entry per player.
Or the brand new $1000 Buy-In Million Dollar Bounty where players can get a bounty after every player they knocked out. And play for the top bounty of $1 million. But the $1000 Buy-In Flip and Go can also be a popular event of the tournament on the 12th of June. Here every player is all-in preflop, being dealt 3 cards and selecting two of them. One player will win the table and immediately make the money, after which the tournament will play out as normal. You can visit one of the online poker sites in the US to practice for the tournament. And play with different poker types which are also available at the WSOP.
Tournament of Champions in Other Main Events
Another top event is the $25,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship which has a two-and-a-half times higher entry than in previous years. 64 players can play in the event this year, raised from 57 in 2021. It will be held between the 2nd and 5th of June. Last year’s event was one of the highlights of the whole series.
With Jason Koon winning his first bracelet and $243,981 against Hungarian Gabor Szabo. But players can also take part in Mid-Stake Events like the $2000 and $3000 no-limit events. Or at the Colossus No-Limit Hold’em for a $400 buy-in.
This year’s WSOP will also hold the Tournament of Champions event reported by online gambling sites in the US. It is a $1,000,000 freeroll tournament. Open to all 88 bracelet winners and gold ring winners from the 2021/2022 WSOP Circuit season. The 2022 Tournament of Champions will be the first time all WSOP winners of the year can compete in one ultimate bragging rights event. Previous winners include Annie Duke, Mike Sexton, and Hick Seed. Some players that we are already certain to see this year are Brian Altman, Jeffrey Trudeau Jr., and Angelina Rich. The Tournament of Champions tournament will take place between the 18th and 20th of July as the last event of the 2022 WSOP.
