The 2021 Cannes Film Festival will take place between the 6th and 17th of July after its postponement from the original date in May. But at least we have more time to get to know the favorites according to the 2021 Golden Palm winner odds. The Cannes Film Festival is always a special event in the film industry which always introduces new films of all genres to the audience. It is one of the three big European film festivals beside the Venice and Berlin Film Festivals. But probably it is the most famous due to its beautiful location at the Cote d’Azur. This year the festival has been postponed from its normal date to July, but at least it will go ahead. Tilda Swinton plays a Scottish woman who travels to Columbia where she starts to notice strange sounds. It is the English-language debut of the 2010 winner who has the odds of 8.50 to win again. One of the most anticipated films of the festival is Sean Penn’s new film, Flag Day but it isn’t the bookmakers’ favorite. Even though Penn plays in the thriller along with his son and daughter.
Neither is Paul Verhoeven’s drama, Benedeatta, which is about a 17th century nun who fell in love with another woman. Both have the odds of 19.00 to win this year’s Palme d’Or. While Wes Anderson’s star-studded film, The French Dispatch has much better chances. The American comedy-drama tells different stories about a French bureau of a fictional Kansas newspaper. Its cast is really amazing with Benicio del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and Bill Murray. The film has the odds of 11.00 on 22Bet to get the Golden Palm.
