  • Virtus Pro is arguably the best team in Dota 2 world
  • Na’Vi recently turned to prominence
  • AS Monaco Gambit and Team Spirit are among the top challengers

Dota 2 ESL One CIS upper and lower divisions are kicking off on 13 April, with the tournament lasting until the end of May. Eight teams are competing in each division. We discuss the favorites to win the upper-division, as per 2021 Dota 2 ESL One CIS odds. Most likely we will see Virtus Pro and Na’Vi in the finals.

16 teams featuring two divisions of the ESL One DPC are competing for six weeks. They are battling out online between 13 April and 23 May for a big prize. In the upper division, six participating teams are from the season 1 upper division and the other two are from the season 1 lower division.

According to online sportsbook news in Russia, the competitors vie for the overall prize money of $205,000 and 1150 Pro Circuit points. The top three in the tournament will qualify for a spot in DPC Majors. Several teams have a chance of winning the tournament. But the top two among the competing teams are Virtus Pro and Na’Vi as ESL One CIS odds indicate.

Virtus Pro is arguably the best in Dota 2 world

The well-established Russian team has the makings of what could be the best team in Dota 2 world. It has arguably the longest and strongest history in Dota. Looking back at Virtus Pro, it holds the record of most Majors won totaling five. It also had the most appearances in the finals. However, their performance dropped later in 2020 and early this year, failing to reach the final in a number of main events.

As online sportsbooks in Russia suggest it is hard to bet against Virtus Pro, given the experience the team has. Therefore it rightfully stands at the top of ESL One CIS odds with a 2.25 value, according to Bet365 Sportsbook.

Na’Vi looks to challenge Virtus Pro

The Ukrainian team recently turned to prominence at the international level since the former FlyToMoon roster came in. It looks to return to the glories of Dendi, Puppey, and XBOCT. However, it remains to be seen whether Na’Vi will show up more competitive with Virtus Pro for the top spot of the region. At the ESL One CIS odds, Na’Vi stands at 2.75 to win the tournament.

ESL One CIS odds on AS Monaco Gambit

The recently rebranded AS Monaco Gambit is coming off big changes in the roster. Their latest addition, No[o]ne, came in just early April. Last season the team finished behind Virtus Pro and Na’Vi. But it hopes to achieve more in 2021,  standing at 5.50 to win this tournament.

Team Spirit another challenger with hope to break through

Team Spirit is another competitor hoping to break through with 11.00 odds. It has been one of the most active teams lately playing and finishing fourth in ESL One CIS Online Season 1 upper division. Team Spirit also competed at EPIC League Season 3 where it reached the final only to lose against Vikin.gg. It has a very strong roster but it failed to live up to expectations numerous times in 2020. So it remains to be seen how it will fare this time.
