After their disappointing results in Austria Mercedes look to return to their winning ways with a triumph at Silverstone. The 2019 British Grand Prix odds on Hamilton seem to indicate they’ll do it, but at that 8/13 price at Bet365, one of the best online sportsbook sites in the UK these days, it could be worth eschewing the silver arrows in favor of the blood red Ferraris, who have to win a race sometime this season, don’t they? We take a look as they prepare for the off up north.

Silverstone has signed a new contract with the FIA guaranteeing the continuation of a British Grand Prix at the circuit for the next five years, possibly at the cost of fiscal stability and viability. The FIA want another race in the UK which, Silverstone contends, would cut their attendance figures and make the current race economically unfeasible. The 2019 British Grand Prix odds on Hamilton might be tight but that’s nothing compared to the margins on circuits.

We’ve been given sufficient comfort in the event that F1 can bring an additional race in the UK onto the calendar that it is additional and the fears we had have been sufficiently addressed in the contract.” Said Stuart Pringle the managing director at Silverstone. This is something F1 has threatened, but the chances of it happening are far longer than the 2019 British Grand Prix odds on Hamilton. That sort of bet on sports in the UK these days sounding distinctly pre-Brexit.

Ferrari Continue To Flounder In Mercedes’ Wake

The vast majority of F1 teams are based in the UK and, with an expansion of the fan base throughout the US being utterly impossible, the American Liberty Media (as was) are looking to generate some more races in places they can actually speak the language. The fact that going to see an F1 race these days is so expensive most people in Britain would have to sell a kidney on the Dark Web ™ in order to afford it won’t stop the idiots attempting to get Khan into the idea.

2019 British Grand Prix Odds

  • Anyone Else – 1500/1+
  • Carlos Sainz – McLaren – 1000/1
  • Lando Norris – McLaren – 1000/1
  • Pierre Gasly – Red Bull – 750/1
  • Max Verstappen – Red Bull – 9/1
  • Sebastian Vettel – Ferrari – 6/1
  • Charles Leclerc – Ferrari – 5/1
  • Valtteri Bottas – Mercedes – 5/1
  • Lewis Hamilton – Mercedes – 8/13

A Formula 1 in London? The Mayor Sadiq Khan is likely to view that very poorly. The security would be a nightmare, the noise and air pollution massively objectionable and whilst protestors might not travel out to the wilds of Silverstone to protest, they’ll definitely take the London Underground (not a resistance organization) to turn up. The 2019 British Grand Prix odds on Hamilton are short, the odds on a London GP something UK gambling laws would laugh at.

2019 British Grand Prix Odds On Hamilton Just 8/13 At Bet365

Of course, Formula 1 is the place for big dreams and there’s no one dreaming bigger than Ferrari right now who must look at the 2019 British Grand Prix odds on Hamilton, and the result they threw away in Austria, and wonder if they’re ever going to win a race this season. Certainly they’ll be aiming for a Monza victory in September, but is that their sole aim? Surely they can’t be so inept that they’re just not as concerned with even trying to compete with the silver arrows?

British Grand Prix

Unfortunately when it comes to inept Ferrari are head and shoulders above all the other teams (except Williams who are just embarrassing themselves now) and if you think Vettel will beat out the 6/1 he’s given and win, you’re fooling yourself. Even Leclerc gets 5/1, same as Bottas, which is still hell and gone from the 2019 British Grand Prix odds on Hamilton at Bet365, one of the best online betting sites in the UK today, and if  you back anyone else, you’re probably insane.
