Gambling Laws in Belarus

All types of gambling in Belarus are considered to be legal. Under the Belarusian gambling laws, all forms of online gambling also became legal after the Decree No 304 On the Improvement of Legal Regulation of the Gambling Business was signed by the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on 7 August 2018. It officially came into force on 1 April 2019. The new legislation, however, came with measures aiming to protect gamblers and to avoid major disruptions, such as the obligation to install video surveillance systems in gambling parlors. The regulatory body of the land-based and online gambling activities in the country is the Ministry of Taxes and Duties. According to the new Belarusian gambling legislation, minors under 21 years of age are prohibited to participate in gambling activities.
