Gambling in Angola is legal in much of its variety. Within the Angolan gambling legislation, the main regulatory acts are the Gambling Activities Law (GAL, Law 5/16 of 17 May 2016) as well as the Decree 39-K/92 which sets out the monopoly granted to the National Lottery Company of Angola over the offering of lotteries, raffles, lotto (quino), bingo and sports betting. Currently the legal functioning of the online gambling sector is supervised by the same body. Beside its function as supervisor, this office is the official body which grants licenses to all Angolan casinos, sportsbooks, or other types of gambling providers, brick and mortar as well as online. According to Angolan gambling laws minors, under 18 years of age are prohibited to participate in gambling activities.
