New Zealand man has to change his name to “Full Metal Havok More Sexy N Intelligent Than Spock And All The Superheroes Combined With Frostnova”, after he lost a drunken bet during poker game.

The name, which made it into the gambling news, was chosen by his friends, who were also playing the same game and it consists of 99 characters. It is just one letter less than the limit determined by the Department of Internal Affairs.

His friend clarified: “My friend lost a bet five years ago and changed his name. He just found out it was actually accepted last week when his passport expired.”

Future possibilities

Frostnova, 22-year-old from Dunedin, who lost a bet in a poker game, which is not clear if followed all New Zealand gambling laws, is also required to change his name on the driving license and other official documents.

Michael Mead, spokesman for the Department of Internal Affairs births, deaths and marriages section, commented that the name change was registered in March 2010. He added that Frostnova could change his name back to the original one at any time. He only has to fill in the necessary form and pay the fee of NZD 127.
