Sports betting solution provider Sportradar has signed a new partnership with the Australian Rugby Union.
Local players might want to think twice before breaking Australian gambling laws or getting into any suspicious betting activities. In preparation for the Super Rugby competition, the Australian Rugby Union has partnered up with Sportradar, to use the company’s fraud detection system.
Gamblers who bet on sports in Australia during the competition will be closely monitored by the system, which is designed to track betting odds across several different operators, all in real-time. It was just this week that Sportsradar signed a similar deal with Football Federation Australia and the company has already been working with Cricket Australia for a while.
New Australian partner
Sportradar is already a leading company in the field of sports betting solutions, but the new partnership helps it consolidate its position on the Australian market. “The Australian Rugby Union’s forward-thinking approach to protecting the integrity of rugby is highly commendable and our revolutionary Fraud Detection System will greatly assist in this,” chief executive officer Carsten Koerl said.
Bill Pulver, the Australian Rugby Union’s CEO added: “Integrity is one of rugby’s core values and we want to ensure our sport operates in a way that aligns with our values. We’re looking forward to working closely with Sportradar to use their expertise in addition to our existing integrity policies.”
