Telegraph picks up special fantasty offering for Champion’s League
UK-based fantasy sports and social gaming operator Picklive has made gambling news by launching a Champions League fantasy game via the Daily Telegraph. The Telegraph’s 200,000 current fantasy players will have the opportunity to win a GBP 1,000-plus prize in a fantasy contest based on the Champions League.
Telegraph Media Group exec Steve Stiles has this to say: “This Champions League contest will offer 200,000 Telegraph Fantasy Football managers a compelling way to test their virtual selection and managerial skills in every match throughout the knock-out stages of the Champions League, culminating with a big-money Grand Final on Saturday, May 24.”
Telegraph expands its betting offering
To bet on sports in Britain has become even easier since publications such as the Guardian have begun taking wagers, doubling as news services and bookmakers. The Telegraph does not offer direct betting, only fantasy sports gaming. Adding Picklive’s fantasy game provides one more way for players to enjoy placing bets on sporting events.
But in this case rather than betting directly on outcomes or propositions, players will be able to build and manage their fantasy teams, being rewarded for selecting players successful in Champions League matches.
