What is hot in the live poker tournaments this week both on the international and American professional poker arena.

This week is pretty rich on live poker events held internationally and under American gambling laws. Let’s take a closer look what tournaments a worth enrolling in and where are the big guaranteed prize pools to be shared among poker enthusiasts.

International poker tournaments

Naturally, the biggest poker event of the week is the 2014 APPT Aussie Millions, which is already under way since January 23 and will go all the way until February 10. It’s held in the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia. This year the prestigious tournament is part of the PokerStars APPT (Asia-Pacific Poker Tour).

This week of the competition will see two giant super high-roller events: the $100,000 buy-in NLHE starting on February 7th, and the $250,000 buy-in HLHE scheduled for February 9th.

Another international poker event worth mentioning is the 2014 Paris Open of Poker, held until February 9th at the Aviation Club de France in Paris. The series consists of five events, where the Main Event, the EUR 3,000 buy-in NLHE starts on February 7th.

American poker rooms will host a wide array of poker tournaments this week, providing poker players with lots of chances to face live opponents and prove their skills. There are some giant guaranteed prize pools available, and with some professionals involved in the Aussie Millions amateurs may have a better shot at the titles and, naturally, cash winnings.

North-East poker tournaments

Foxwoods Resort Casino will host the next stop of the Card Player Poker Tour Season II between February 8-17. The stop in Connecticut will be an 11-event affair, where each and every event boasts a guarantee prize pool. Some of the biggest ones include a $600 buy-in NLHE with $100,000 guaranteed – starting on February 8th, and the $1,650 NLHE event with $300,000 in guaranteed prize pool beginning next week on February 14th.

South poker tournaments

On February 7th the Hollywood Casino Tunica in Robinsonville, Mississippi will kick off the 2014 HPO Tunica, a 20-event series to be held until February 16th. This week the biggest poker tournament is the $300 buy-in NLHE tourney with three starting flights, the first of which begins on February 7th.

California poker tournaments

The 2014 WPT L.A. Poker Classic has already kicked off at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles last month. The amazing 60-event series will go on until March 6th and will offer players of every game and every budget a chance to compete.

The biggest event of this week in L.A. is the $150 buy-in NLHE tourney with massive $500,000 guaranteed pool. The tournament has 10 starting flights hosted from February 4-8, survivors of which will come back on February 9th to compete for the crown and a piece of the amazing half a million pie.

Florida

The Seminole Casino Coconut Creek in Florida is hosting the 2014 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open with 14 events held until February 11th. This week the highlight of the series will start on February 7th. It’s the World Poker Tour Main Event with $3,500 buy-in and $1 million in guaranteed prize pool.

The Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach, Florida will host the next stop on the WSOP Circuit tour from February 6-17. The Main Event is also a whopping $1,000,000 guaranteed NLHE with $580 buy-in. there will be five starting flights between February 5th and 8th.

Nevada poker tournaments

One of the most beautiful American poker rooms at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is the host for the 2014 Deepstack Extravaganza. The series is held all the way until February 26th with 56 events during one month. The biggest one of the week is the $600 buy-in NLHE with $150,000 in guaranteed prize pool starting on February 7th.
