Tropican Casino Becomes Latest Online Atlantic City Casino with Award of 5th New Jersey Online Gambling License
New Jersey has announced the destination of its 5th online gambling license, as the world famous Tropicana casino has joined the two Trump Casinos, Golden Nugget, and Borgata on the list of licensed online casinos in the US state.
New Jersey is still looking in pole position to launch America’s first online casinos – come November 26th – after the changes in American gambling law allowed online gambling last year. However, they could come under more competition from other states, as Delaware is due to step up its real money online gambling in the coming months.
For now, though, Tropicana casino is due to battle it out with its old foes from the Atlantic City strip as they seek to become the state’s first live online casino later in November.
Much like most of the other casinos, the Tropicana has signed an agreement with an experienced online gambling operator. They have opted to bring Gamesys on board to help manage their online portfolio, a company with plenty of experience in the UK and European marketplace. Indeed, they’re the company behind the popular JackpotJoy bingo and slot hall.
New Jersey’s new online casinos will also be looking to quickly integrate mobile casinos into their offerings, especially considering the successes freemium social slots and other Facebook casinos have had in the US. Indeed, player numbers on these games are huge, bringing in massive revenue through coin packages and other add-ons, rather than traditional methods.
With real money gambling on its way, though, companies are sure to turn back to more traditional methods, although there is a lot to be learnt from these social casinos when it comes to player retention in particular. Whatever happens, this is a period of change and evolution for the gambling world, especially in a US online market that is finally being opened up.
