Irish Poker Awards categories include Best Tournament Player, Best Cash Player and Irish Poker Legend.

Voting is now live for the Irish Poker Awards. After putting together the British Poker Awards in London last month, event organizers Bluff Europe and sponsors Boyle Poker announced the Irish ceremony to be held at the Regency Hotel Dublin on 21st of October.

The event is scheduled to be held during Boyle Poker’s International Poker Open, one of Ireland main poker events to be held under the Irish gambling laws.

Voters can choose their favorites from nominees put together by industry experts in 13 categories, including “Best Tournament Player”, “Best Cash Player” and “Irish Poker Legend”.

The Irish Poker Awards reached its second year. Last year, Owen Robinson from Wexford gained the Player of the Year title. Legend of the Irish poker rooms and 1999 World Series of Poker third-place finisher Padraig Parkinson picked up Personality of the Year, and was elected to be the Best Blogger.

Organizer Michael Caselli commented: “Following on from the massive success of the British Poker Awards, we can’t wait to put on a great show for the Irish Awards, especially at such a fun event as the IPO. It’s really a time when the Irish Poker community comes together to let its hair down and this will give us the chance to honor that community and celebrate Irish Poker in general.”

Bluff Europe, aimed squarely at the poker enthusiasts, is the most widely read poker magazine among the UK and Irish gambling news publications. Copies of the magazine are distributed through card rooms, poker clubs and newsstands. A host of well-known poker professionals from the UK, Europe and the USA contribute to the issues. Bluff Europe magazine is the first poker magazine to be available through the iTunes store.
