Gambling Expert Group for the Sector’s Improvement in the UK

Among others, licensing authorities and regulators make up the Gambling Export Group that was set up in order to provide advice and opinion on gambling regulations in the UK.
The Gambling Business Group (GBG), representing all sectors of the UK gabling sector, has announced the formation of the Gambling Expert Group. According to the press release, the newly formed group’s objective is to improve the regulatory landscape for all parties involved in the industry. “Membership is made up of stakeholder representatives including Licensing Authorities, regulators and policy makers,” said Peter Hannibal, GBG Chief Executive. The group will try to identify “industry-wide situations” that can be improved with the means of regulation and legislation. Principally, the Gambling Expert Group will act as a “resource providing expert views on issues around the impact of government thinking and planning,” added Hannibal. The next meeting of the Gambling Expert Group is scheduled for April, 2017.
