2017 is shaping up to be historic for the gambling industry, as two new US states are considering new gambling bills introduced this week.
Just a day after we reported on the news that Massachusetts may legalize internet gambling, there are new claims that lawmakers in New York and South Carolina are also reviewing new gambling bills that would expand their markets.
Five Senators in New York have introduced a bill, called S01282, which focuses primarily on legalizing professional and college sports betting inside of the state’s casinos and racetracks. The bill is now being reviewed by the New York Senate’s Judiciary Committee.
In South Carolina, State Representative Todd Rutherford introduced Joint House Resolution H31012, which aims to legalize more traditional forms of gambling including casino gambling and sports betting. Rutherford has been calling for expanded gambling in the state for years, but hasn’t found much success.
Unfortunately, neither of these two new gambling bills will be implemented unless the US Supreme Court reconsiders their federal ban on gambling outside of Nevada.
What gambling options are available here now?
Although these two states have yet to formally legalize these forms of gambling, there are a wide range of online sportsbooks in the US that gamblers can access in New York and South Carolina.
For online casino gambling, one of the best options that US players can access is Uptown Aces Casino. This amazing casino website offers a massive list of casino games for cash including online slot games and online table games.
Those wanting to bet on sports in the US also have a number of great options. Intertops has grown to become one of the most popular online sportsbooks in the country thanks to their massive list of sports betting options for many sports including football, baseball, and basketball.
