Irish Bookmaker Boylesports Shift Focus to Online Operations

Renowned online sportsbook Boylesports is about to undergo a major restructuring shifting focus to online operations
Boyle Sports bookmaker is well-known in Europe and the worldwide. According to recent Ireland gambling news the bookie is planning to go through with a radical reshuffling of the business, which aims to put more emphasis on the online part of the business.
The founder and CEO of the group, John Boyle, revealed plans to separate its 176 land-based bookmaking outlets operating in full compliance with Irish gambling laws from the online operations. A whole new division will be created aiming to improve international standing of the business.
The current head of online operations, Keith O’Loughlin, was chosen as CEO of the new division, named Boyle Sports Online. He has been entrusted with the development of internet betting in Ireland operations as well as gambling sites on mobile and other digital platforms.
New company plans also include targeting the Asian market. O’Loughlin’s responsibilities will also include creating new products and building online poker brand Boylesports Poker and online casino brand Boyle Casino.
John Boyle told the media: “This new restructure indicates a significant investment in its digital channels and will fuel the future growth and direction of the business.”
He went on to add: “Now is the right time for us to restructure to ensure that both the retail and online side of the business continue to grow. Our loyal shop customers in Ireland are very important to us, but we also need to consider our customers, and potential customers, in markets further afield. We feel we can best cater to all by taking this action now.”
