UK gambling news reports that Manchester City will square off against Stoke City where they will aim to capture the all-important 3 points and achieve their Premier League ambitions. And finally, we will also take a look at the encounter between Crystal Palace and Newcastle. Judging by the performances of both sides the hosts will probably win the game.
Manchester United vs Burnley and Southampton vs West Ham
The Red Devils are strong favorites 1.30 (3/10) to win against Burnley on their own ground. They maintain a record of 9 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses while playing at Old Trafford, which is quite impressive given the fact that the team are still trying to adapt to new playing system. Louis van Gaal will probably field some fearsome attackers in this game, which will see them win the match.
• Newcastle will play against Crystal Palace away
• Stoke faces a stern test against Manchester City
• Man United looking to improve their standing against Burnley
Bunrley on the other are a newly promoted club that are lacking in Premier League experience and that is why they find themselves dangerously close to the relegation zone, in 17th place. They have an away record of 1 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses, which is the main reason why Bet365 has decide to give them outsider odds 11.00 (10/1).
Southampton still occupy 3rd place in the league and they have a total of 45 points from 24 games. Because of the genius of manager Ronald Koeman, The Saints were able to stay ahead of Manchester United who have a much greater budget to spend on players. Mobile betting sites have given them preferential chances 1.75 (3/4) to win against West Ham, thanks to their decent home results (7 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses).
West Ham are struggling to make progress as they currently sit in 8th position with 37 points. Their record while on the road is quite uncertain (3 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses), which is why their odds have been set at 5.25 (17/4), per Bet365 . A draw is also unlikely 3.80 (14/5) given the fact that Southampton is more likely to win than blunder.
Stoke vs Manchester City and Crystal Palace vs Newcastle
Stoke City currently occupy a mid-table position (10th place) after accumulating 33 points. while playing at home they were successful in winning 5 times, while the rest of the games ended in 2 draws and 4 losses. Bet365 doesn’t really believe that they have a realistic chance 5.75 (19/4) against a Manchester City, who are fighting hard to win back-to-back Premier League titles.
The Sky Blues have a pretty good record while playing away from home having won on 7 occasions with the rest of the encounters resulting in 4 draws and only 1 loss. At this stage they seem to be the only team that can catch up to leaders Chelsea and ruin their plan of winning the league. Bet365 has therefore given the odds of 1.70 (7/10), while a draw stands at 3.80 (14/5), an event that is not likely.
Crystal Palace will play against Newcastle on Wednesday evening where they will aim to overcome their opponents using home field advantage. The hosts are 13th in the league and have sealed 3 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses at home. Online sportsbooks in UK have decided to give them preferential odds 2.38 (11/8), despite the poor results.
Newcastle sit 2 places above Crystal Palace in 11th position, however although they are slightly better than their upcoming opponents, their record away from home is not encouraging (3 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses). Their odds of clinching a victory stand at 3.30 (23/10), whereas a draw between the two has been set at 3.30 (23/10) as well, per Bet365 .
