Icelandic National Íslensk Getspá Lottery to Offer Mobile Lotto Games

Iceland has become the latest country to accept the future and not stand in the way of the progress by permitted Iceland’s National Lottery to begin offering mobile gambling in Iceland. This week Íslensk Getspá, the National Lottery governed by Icelandic gambling laws, chose Betware mobile gambling platform to power its future mobile lottery in Iceland.

Iceland’s National Lottery and Betware have already signed contracts which will ensure that Iceland will have Lotto and Viking Lotto available for smartphone users sometime late this year or early next.

Betware has already begun to customize the company’s robust, modular mobile gambling platform to fit the functionality requirements. Future users of Mobile Icelandic National Lottery will have the ability to access the overall lottery account, have a mobile wallet to purchase lotto tickets and be able to browse the overall account history along with past and current lotto results.

The modular design of Betware’s mobile gambling platform allows for simple integration with a variety of different mobile gambling options. Once the mobile lotto software is setup, Íslensk Getspá will be able to offer customer the ability to bet on sports in Iceland via the mobile as well as play mobile casino games in Iceland.

Iceland’s National Lotto CEO Stefan Konradsson avoided questions regarding the possibility of future Icelandic mobile sportsbook or mobile casino games added to the mobile lottery offering.
