2023 Hungarian Grand Prix Schedule
Hungarian Grand Prix is considered one of the oldest in car racing history. The very first GP took place in 1936, but in Népliget, not Mogyoród. It moved to a well-known Hungaroring 50 years later. The track was built in the mid-1980s and held its first Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1986. It was a success and ever since has never left the F1 calendar.
It is a place where drivers take their first wins, the list includes: Fernando Alonso in 2003, Jenson Button in a dramatic race in 2006 starting from record-breaking 14th, Heikki Kovalainen in 2008, and Esteban Ocon in another race full of drama in 2021. In brief, Hungaroring became a significant part of Formula 1 history and one of the most popular car racing tracks in Europe.
The 2023 Grand Prix in Hungary will take place on the same 4.381-km Hungaroring track as in the past years. As always, the F1 weekend starts on Friday with two practices and ends on Sunday with the main race. You can find the full schedule of the upcoming GP in Mogyoród below.

How to Attend Hungarian Grand Prix
The 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix is expected to be one of the most attended races this season. Last summer, 290,000 spectators attended the competition during three days, breaking the local record of 230,000 viewers in 2019. The organizers hope this year’s racing weekend will be as popular as its predecessor. If you want to watch the competition with your own eyes in Hungary, here is your guide on how to attend the race in Mogyoród.
Race tickets
Firstly, you need to buy tickets for the Grand Prix. As of June 2023, most local suppliers still offer tickets for three Practice races, Qualifying, and Main Race. You can find your tickets on Motorsport Tickets, Viagogo, Goo Tickets, the official Formula One site, and many others. Ticket prices for one day start from 62 euros, while the most expensive tickets for all F1 events plus camping cost 300–400 euros. Unfortunately, you can’t buy admission tickets for all the races on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, but you can still choose one day for as much as 72 euros.
Flight tickets
Hungary is easily accessible by all means of transport, meaning Formula 1 fans can reach Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport within hours. Flight tickets from the UK (the previous GP host country) start from 80 euros days prior to the race. If you are looking for cheaper options, consider Ryanair or WizzAir, the famous Hungarian low-cost carrier.
Grand Prix fans from neighboring countries like Austria, Slovakia, or Croatia can easily reach Budapest via train or bus with ticket prices starting from 10 euros. Transferring from Budapest to the track in Mogyoród takes from 30–90 minutes, depending on the means of transport: taxi, shuttle bus, or train.
Hotels
Mogyoród has a pretty limited number of hotels, so if you want to live close to Hungaroring, it’s better to book your room in advance. For example, Erika Vendégház and Kamarás Ring House offer a great location for decent prices. Or you can choose Villa Glam with a pool and a garden view for a 5-star experience that is 5 min away from the track.
Another option is staying in one of numerous hotels in Budapest and traveling to the venue on the race day. If you stay in the capital of Hungary, choose one of the many options on Booking. Besides well-known brands like Hilton or Radisson, free dates for the GP weekend are available in Danubius Hotel, NH Budapest City, Mera Hotel, and hundreds of other accommodations for F1 fans with different budgets.

Early Predictions for Hungarian Grand Prix
Finally, what about the 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix predictions? Fans know that Hungaroring requires a lot of downforce, so Red Bull and Aston Martin must be in front of the pack. The track has mainly medium-speed corners where those two teams have proven their stance, so it will be a fight for the podium places between the two.
The Hungarian GP might be an attempt to win a race in 2023 for Fernando Alonso, and there are two factors that favor him. Firstly, it’s Red Bull 2022 sanctions for using a wind tunnel, which means that their rivals might get closer as their car’s development halts. Secondly, Aston Martin are reportedly bringing their greatest yet upgrade package specifically to Hungary. With enough downforce and medium-corner speed that Aston Martin have been famous for this year, Alonso has a chance.
Mercedes’ upgrade has put them far above Ferrari, according to both Hungarian and Austrian GP winner odds. The Silver Arrows might also get a shot at a win if their rivals struggle with settings. Lewis Hamilton has shown his ability to perform at top level when the car is capable of fighting. He has been performing a lot more consistently than his teammate George Russell, although we would still expect them to take 3, 4, or 5 places. That is, unless Ferrari comes back, which is unlikely to happen so far.
Nevertheless, there are two Grand Prix races ahead. The Austrian GP and British GP will take place before the one in Hungary, meaning there is plenty of time to fix the predictions. Follow 22Bet to stay tuned to the latest odds on the winner at Hungaroring in 2023.
