Villa won three of their last five league games before the international break. Those three wins came against Brentford, Man United, and Brighton. These teams aren’t exactly on the same level as Arsenal or City this season but Villa can win against Liverpool. However, the Villans haven’t been that great. The Aston Villa v Liverpool betting previews favour an away-side victory.
Diego Carlos and Kamara have been out since August and September and Coutinho isn’t back either. Liverpool struggled at the start of the season as well but they were in good form before the break. Well, at least in a better form than during the first few weeks. The Reds won three of their last five league games as well. Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are expected to be back on 31 December but there’s a chance they’re ready by Boxing Day.
Based on mid-December odds and betting previews for Aston Villa v Liverpool, the Reds are favoured by over 50% on 26 December. A home-side win and a draw both have about a 20% of possibility. All Reds have returned from Qatar except for Konaté. Although an over 1.5 total bet is safer we’ll include the odds for a 2.5 as well. It’s also likely that both sides will concede at least one goal. We predict a 2-1 victory for the Reds so if you’re feeling lucky pick up a correct score bet as well.
