The biggest Serie A transfer predictions for this summer
In this article, we will be listing some of the biggest Serie A transfer predictions for this summer. Italy has one of the biggest football markets in the world and a lot of talent come and go every year. Furthermore, we’ll only be listing potential arrivals to Serie A.
One of the most competitive football leagues in the world is Serie A. Champions can rise and fall quickly, disappearing from the spotlight sooner than people would think. We’ll be covering some of the biggest names in football in this article, including multiple free agents. These potential signings would be beneficial for both marketing and professional purposes. So just like we covered the Bundesliga transfer predictions, here are our Serie A transfer predictions for this summer.
Ángel Di María Can Still Be a First-Team Option at Most Clubs
Di María became a free agent on 1 July, when his PSG contract ultimately expired. The 34-year-old’s best days are indeed behind him but he can still be a valuable asset to many clubs. In the 21/22 season, even with PSG’s stacked squad, Di María was included in the first team numerous times and made 31 appearances in total, including the Champions League. In those 31 appearances, he had 5 goals and 9 assists. It’s equally important to note that he wasn’t the first option for his position either in the last season.
The Argentine has a market value of around €12 million and already agreed to sign for Juventus on a 1-year deal, making him the second big free-agent signing this summer. His decision was made clear a while ago by online gambling news in Italy. During his stay in Paris, the forward appeared a total of 295 times for his club, netting 93 goals, and assisting 119 times. Only the future will tell where Juventus will finish next season but adding Di María for free is a win.
Paul Pogba is Set to Make His Awaited Return to Juventus
It was clear months ago that Pogba will not be extending his contract at Manchester United. Rumors have emerged that the prodigal son of Juventus is set to make a return to Turin. This will be the second time that the Frenchman has left United for free.
Technically, Pogba has been an official free agent since 1 July but only a miracle could stop him from returning to the Old Lady now. He’s due for his medical on Saturday, 9 July. The 29-year-old midfielder’s performance and value have gradually decreased over the past three years but he’s still the biggest free agent this summer.

Juventus have lost some key players recently, some of whom are considered legends at the club. One thing is certain; the addition of Pogba could strengthen the midfield. On the other hand, the club already has plenty of midfielders to choose from but the ex-United player is bound to make the first team. Pogba developed into a world-class player before he left Turin and maybe he can reignite that old flame once again in the seasons to come.
Paolo Dybala’s Potential Inter Transfer is One of the Biggest Serie A Predictions This Summer
Dybala’s exit at Juventus was expected but it still came as a shock. He spent seven years in Turin and established himself as one of the all-time greats at the club. In the 21/22 season, Dybala had 39 appearances for Juventus across the Serie A, UCL, Italy Cup, and the Supercopa Italiana. All in all, he scored 15 goals and had 6 assists for himself as well.
Dybala’s market value has plummeted over the years but he’s still the second most valuable free agent this summer. Furthermore, it’s no surprise that the Serie A transfer predictions would put a lot of focus on him this summer.
Even before his contract expired, rumors have linked Dybala to rivals Inter Milan. Such transfer has a probability rating of over 75% as of 6 July. What came as more of a shock was sources linking the forward to Spurs. Dybala was also affiliated with a possible Tottenham transfer back in 2019. Even with his departure, Juventus is expected to return to the race for the Scudetto. On 20Bet Sportsbook, the top two favorites to win the Serie A are interestingly enough Juventus and Inter, both with odds of 1.85. What do you think will be Dybala’s next club?
AC Milan Eyeing Hakim Ziyech to Fill Their Midfield
AC Milan are looking to find a worthy replacement for Franck Kessié, who left a hole in the Italian champions’ midfield. Sources from 5 July have linked the Chelsea midfielder to Milan. The Premier League side bought Ziyech two years ago for €40 million but his value decreased a bit since then. The currently 29-year-old has appeared 44 times for Chelsea over six competitions in the 21/22 season. He almost had a 50-50 starting eleven/bench ratio and scored 8 goals and assisted 6.
Due to bonuses, Ziyech’s transfer fee could increase to over €40 million which would put Chelsea back to ground zero. Seeing how the Blues are more focused on keeping Mount and Havertz, it makes sense to get the most out of Ziyech. As things stand now, Chelsea are the 4th favorites to win the Premier League next season, according to 20Bet Sportsbook. Unfortunately, Milan didn’t get anything for Kessié but frankly, they’re not in a bad financial position to get Ziyech this summer.
Serie A Transfer Predictions – Luka Jović to Arrive at Fiorentina This Summer
Even though his current Real Madrid contract expires only in 2025, Luka Jović might be the next big arrival to the Serie A. Since 2019, the Bosnian wonder kid has been moving around Real and Frankfurt. In the last season, Jović has appeared only 19 times for Real and hasn’t played a full 90-minute match once. It’s trivial that a move could be beneficial for him. He’s 24 years old and needs some room to improve. Three years ago, he was worth €60 million, now his market value sits at €16 million.

Online sportsbook sites in Italy have linked Jović to Fiorentina, with a probability rating of over 85%. The Lilies finished 7th last season which means they reached the Europa Conference League qualifiers. With the likes of Luka Jović, the club could even go for the Europa League next season as they only missed out on it by a couple of points. One signing won’t change the future but it might be a step in the right direction.
