Promising betting predictions for Group C of the World Cup
Group C of the 2022 FIFA World Cup looks promising as it includes some of the best football teams in the world. In this article, we’ll be focusing on each country’s chances of finishing atop their group and their chances to qualify. As you know only the best two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage. These are our Group C betting predictions for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The third group, or Group C, is no doubt one of the best ensembles of teams at first sight. It features Argentina, defending Copa America champions and runners-up on the CONMEBOL table. Then we have Saudi Arabia, the winners of Group B in the AFC. In third, we have Mexico, second only on goal difference at the end of the CONCACAF qualifiers. Poland closes out the group, they qualified through Path B of the UEFA play-offs after beating Sweden 2-0. It’s safe to say that this group shows a lot of promise and potential for a great run. Let’s see the World Cup Group C betting predictions.
Argentina Kicks Off With Great Chances
The Argentinian national football team has always been one of the best in the world. It’s no different this time around either. After qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, Argentina now made it to every single World Cup since 1974. They’ve won the tournament twice and came second three times.
Even though their last title was in 1986, the Argentines always make a strong case for champions. With an undefeated qualifying campaign and as the current Copa America champions, Argentina’s odds are great. On 20Bet Sportsbook, their odds of winning their group is 1.4, while the odds of advancing to the knockout stage is 1.08. FIFA ranked the team as the 4th best in the world.
Saudi Arabia’s World Cup Group C Betting Predictions Aren’t Too Bight
This will be the Arabian nation’s sixth World Cup appearance, the last one being in 2018. They qualified by finishing first in their AFC group, having lost only one match in ten. Saudi Arabia’s World Cup record is not that good and they’ve only reached the Round of 16 once. Going up against Argentina, Poland, and Mexico will be extremely tough but anything can happen in football. However, World Cup Group C betting predictions don’t favor them much and few expect them to advance to the knockout stage. Their odds of winning their group are 21.01 compared to their odds of advancing at 5.37. In the latest FIFA rankings, Saudi Arabia was 49th.
It’s Time For Poland’s Redemption
With this year’s tournament, Poland now qualified for a total of nine World Cups. Their best results were finishing third twice, in 1974 and 1982. They haven’t advanced from the group stage since 1986 but their chances are not too bad this year.
Poland finished second in their group during the UEFA qualifiers and they’re looking to redeem their mistakes during the last World Cup. Online sportsbooks in Poland favor them to advance to the next round, although not by a lot. Their odds of winning Group C are 5.5 and 1.9 for advancing. Poland is currently ranked 26th in the world. The team has many experienced players who will no doubt try their best to make history.
World Cup Group C – Mexico Predictions
The Mexican national football team was expected to finish first in the CONCACAF qualifiers. In reality, they ended up second, but only behind on goal difference to Canada. Mexico now has qualified for the 8th straight World Cup. Furthermore, as co-hosts, they’re also qualified for the 2026 tournament. So let’s see the World Cup Group C betting predictions for them. Mexico has advanced from the group stage in every World Cup between 1994 and 2018. This is troublesome for their opponents. On 20Bet Sportsbook, their odds of advancing is 1.9, the same as Poland. However, they have odds of 6.00 to win Group C.
This will be a hard-fought battle but since Argentina is almost certain to advance, we’ll have a knockout stage either without Poland or Mexico. The men’s national football team is currently ranked in a strong 9th position by FIFA.
