Phoenix beat Dallas by 30 points on Tuesday, which is now the Mavs’ biggest loss in this year’s playoffs. Game 5 went just as we thought it would. The Mavs lost by double-digits, they were bullied in the paint and their 3-pointer-focused offense failed them. Phoenix outscored them in the paint 44-24 and they also made sure to hold their opponents to miserable shooting percentages. The Mavs shot 38% from the field and 25% from the 3-point line. They also couldn’t convert the majority of their second-chance points. The Suns were just better in every category but one of the more notable ones was the assists. Dallas didn’t move the ball around well and also recorded 9 assists only compared to Phoenix’s 28. The spirits of the players and the Game 6 predictions of the Mavericks v Suns are heavily influenced by this game.

It will be extremely hard for Dallas to win this series. Not only do they face the best regular-season team but teams that go down 3-2 lose most of the time. However, there isn’t a big difference in the Game 6 odds of Mavericks v Suns. Dallas won both of their home games in this series and they can certainly do so again. They’re one of the clutchest teams in the league but so are the Suns. They’re going to need those 3-pointers if they want to force a Game 7.
