Spain’s Loterias y Apuestas del Estado has released a Spanish lottery ad that’s so touching it’ll reduce you to tears.
In Spain gambling news, the Loterias y Apuestas del Estado’s annual Christmas draw is right around the corner, and they’re advertising it with the most adorable Spanish lottery ad ever. Every year since 1812, the Spanish lottery has held a special drawing during the holidays that the whole country is eligible to enter. To promote this year’s drawing, they’ve released a heartwarming Pixar-esque animated short reminiscent of the film Up.
The short stars Justino, a lonely night-time security guard at a mannequin factory who spends his long shifts staging the mannequins in thoughtful and funny ways to the delight of his colleagues, who find his creations in the morning. Sadly, because of his hours, Justino is never there to see how much joy his antics bring to his coworkers.
When the office wins the Loterias y Apuestas del Estado’s Christmas lottery, Justino goes to his regular shift and this time he is the one to receive a surprise: His coworkers have thrown him a party, and they reveal that they’d entered his name into the lottery, too. Happy tears well into his eyes and the viewer’s heart breaks into a million pieces.
