  • 2021 PDC Masters is held in Milton Keynes, 29-31 January
  • For the first time 24 players will take part in it
  • 5-time winner van Gerwen and new world champion Price are top favorites

We don’t have to wait long for the first big darts tournament of the year as the 2021 PDC Masters odds will take place in a few weeks time, between the 29 – 31 January. 24 players will compete for the trophy with Peter Wright being the defending champion. He is also mentioned in the 2021 PDC Masters odds along with the new world champion, Gerwyn Price.

The 2021 Masters will be the 9th edition of the non-ranking tournament, where for the first time 24 players will take place. The top 8 players will only enter in the second round to fight for the trophy and the £60,000 prize money. The tournament is back in the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes and will be held behind closed doors. Michael van Gerwen won the event the most, five times so far. But after Peter Wright won his first world title in 2020, he could also triumph in the 2020 Masters. Can the fresh world champion, Gerwyn Price follow his sample? Let1s see his and the other favorites’ chances now.

2021 PDC Masters odds mention Price in top favorites

After winning the 2021 PDC World Championship for the first time in his career, Welsh Gerwyn Price has become a major favorite to win the Masters too. Online sportsbooks in the UK offer the odds of 4.00 for his victory. Of course, Price has been a great player before that too. The new world No1 won last year the World Series of Darts Finals and the World Grand Prix before defeating Gary Anderson in the world championship final. Now he will start against the winner of the Joe Cullen vs Stephen Bunting game.

Let’s play!

His main rival can be Michael van Gerwen, who reached the quarter-finals of the world championship but lost there against Dave Chisnall. It was another surprise from the Dutch star, who had his ups and downs last season. He lost his world No1 spot after 7 years with his early exit. But now van Gerwen can show his true capabilities and get back to winning in one of his strongest tournaments. He has the odds of 3.50 in the 2021 PDC Masters odds to get the victory.

Scottish players are also in the favorites

The 2020 world champion, Peter Wright won the Masters last year and has the odds of 8.00 to defend his title. Wright was knocked out already in the third round of the world championship by German Gabriel Clemens. Even though he won the European Championship. And also reached the semi-final of the Players Championship Finals last November. He wasn’t in form in London. We shall see if he can fight back from his disappointing performance and win his second Masters.

Online gambling sites in the UK also mention another Scottish player, Gary Anderson in the favorites with the odds of 15.00. He reached the final in the world’s but lost there 7-3 against Price. Still it was a great performance from the two-time world champion who hasn’t produced such results recently. Anderson usually plays well in the Masters too, though he hasn’t won the event yet. Now his first opponent will be the winner of the Michael Smith vs Adrian Lewis tie. Where Smith is favored to win with the odds of 1.40 on bet365.
