  • World No3 Dominic Thiem is organizing his own tournament
  • It takes place this week in Kitzbuhel, Austria
  • 8 players were invited including Spanish Bautista Agut and Italian Berrettini

Following the sample of Novak Djokovic, world No3 Dominic Thiem is also organizing his own tournament in Austria. 8 players are taking part in the invitational tournament which takes place this week. Let’s see who they are and who can actually win it according to the Thiems Seven betting predictions.

In the last few months tennis fans can hardly see any live action with top players. One of the first real tournaments was the Adria Tour organized by Novak Djokovic, but sadly it had to be cancelled as well. Now another top player, Austrian Dominic Thiem is holding another special tournament. Only a few selected players are taking part in it including Spanish player Roberto Bautista Agut and Italian Matteo Berrettini, beside of course organizer Thiem.

Thiems Seven betting predictions for the first games of the tournament

After the first day’s matches the tournament will continue today with an exciting game between two great players, Bautista and Berrettini. Online sportsbooks in Austria are favoring Bautista to win with the odds of 1.53 at Bet365 Sportsbook. The Spanish player is currently in 12th place in the world ranking. He has won 9 singles titles so far, including the 2018 Dubai Tennis Championship. Last year he reached the semi-final in Wimbledon, achieving his best result in the grand slams.

Let’s start betting!

His Italian opponent is ahead of him in the world ranking with 4 places. Berrettini is currently world No8, which is his best ranking. The 24-year-old Italian has won three singles titles so far. His first one, the Swiss Open Gstaad against Bautista in 2018. Then last year he also won the Hungarian Open and the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart. He got to the fourth round in Wimbledon and reached the semi-final in the US Open to become the first Italian to do so since 1977. Berrettini has also managed to defeat Thiem at the end of last year, during the ATP finals in London, where he qualified as the 8th player. So he can be a favorite for the final victory here. His odds to win against Bautista is 2.37 at Bet365 Sportsbook.

Favorites for the other games

Russian Karen Khachanov will play against Austrian Dennis Novak in the second game. Both of them lost their first games yesterday, so getting a win would be crucial in order to have a chance for the semi-finals. World No15 Khachanov is the favorite on this game with the odds of 1.45 at Bet365 Sportsbook against Novak, who is world No85 at the moment. The Russian has four ATP Tour singles titles and got to the quarter-finals of last year’s Roland Garros. He was also a member of the Russian team which got to the semi-finals of the first ATP Cup organized at the beginning of 2020.

In the third duel we have German Jan-Lennard Struff and Norwegian Casper Ruud, Struff has the smallest odds for the win in the Thiems Seven betting predictions. But it should be a very tight game as we are talking about players with very similar strength. They are just behind each other in the world ranking in World No34 and No36 places.

In the last game of the day will be the game of Dominic Thiem and another Russian player, Andrey Rublev. Certainly online gambling sites in Austria are favoring Thiem to win with the odds of 1.33. It’s no surprise as Thiem is one of the best players right now, he is currently in 3rd place behind Djokovic and Nadal. After getting to the final in the ATP Finals last year he also got to the final in the 2020 Australian Open defeating Nadal and Zverev in the tournament. He is the favorite to win here as well, which we can find out at the weekend.
