For a while there it looked like there wouldn’t be a season at all. Races fell away from the calendar from dandruff in a breeze. This was entirely rational, of course, it just left us motorsport fans with little to celebrate. However, the Austrian government approved a closed doors race at the start of July. This means you can now take advantage of Austrian gambling laws at Bet365 to find all the odds on the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix. The nightmare is over. Well, almost.

It will be distinctly odd. Will Lewis Hamilton still be able to claim they’re the best fans in the world if they’re not there? The Austrian government has very graciously permitted a race, but as with many other sports, F1 faces a return without fans. The odds on the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix feeling like a return to normal are thus almost nil. Of course, F1 won’t be as eerily quiet as some sports, it’s loud by nature, but don’t bet on a fan-less Formula One race feeling any less strange.

The teams will arrive at the relatively remote Red Bull Ring and rather than just one race will face two on the bounce. In a first for the sport a circuit will hold a double-header with two races over consecutive weekends. This means those odds on the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix are even more interesting. Online sportsbook sites in Austria like Bet365 can give you the racing odds, but F1 isn’t all about the driving. Stuck for two weeks together in the middle of nowhere? Oh, the drama.

Two-Week Long Drama-Fest In The Offing In Austria

Formula One often resembles a soap opera, and under this sort of pressure, in a weird atmosphere, we’re likely to see a lot more of that before, during, and after these two week of hot-housing. The big story is that Williams is up for sale. Just who would buy the team is questionable. It will be the talking point every commentator and pundit will return to time and time again. There are good odds on the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix not going five minutes without someone mentioning it.

2020 Austrian Grand Prix Odds

  • Anyone Else – 200/1+
  • Lance Stroll – 150/1
  • Carlos Sainz – 150/1
  • Sergio Perez – 66/1
  • Alexander Albon – 33/1
  • Valtteri Bottas – 13/2
  • Sebastian Vettel – 5/1
  • Charles Leclerc – 7/2
  • Max Verstappen – 9/4
  • Lewis Hamilton – 15/8

Then, beyond the obvious implications of Williams basically going broke, there’s the drivers. It would seem a few of them took the time in lockdown to consider their positions. So, Daniel Ricciardo has left Renault to move to McLaren, perhaps swapping racing dreams for actual credentials. Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz may get horrid odds on the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix, but he’ll be a good wager at online betting sites in Austria like Bet365 in 2021. He’s replacing Vettel at Ferrari.

Hamilton Gets Best Odds On The 2020 Austrian Grand Prix

If that weren’t enough to add to the tension, they’re all going to be awfully rusty with the press, and Lewis Hamilton is going around pointing out one of the whitest sports in the world might actually be a little bit racist behind the scenes. Spot the inevitable car crash TV in-waiting? Well, you should. Add a bit of rain and this is going to be one race, wait! two races, you’ll not want to miss. Grabbing some of those odds on the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix is almost mandatory now.

2020 Drivers Championship Odds

  • Anyone Else – 500/1+
  • Alexander Albon – 80/1
  • Sebastian Vettel – 12/1
  • Charles Leclerc – 13/2
  • Valtteri Botas – 11/2
  • Max Verstappen – 5/1
  • Lewis Hamilton – 4/9

Naturally, the odds on the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix currently favor Lewis Hamilton, he’s sat way clear of the rest at 15/8. Behind him, Max Verstappen gets the nod with 9/1 ahead of Charles Leclerc at 7/2. The now driving-dead Sebastian Vettel gets 5/1. Driving to show Ferrari they’re wrong, he’s probably a great bet on sports in Austria in July. He’ll be trying his hardest. Likewise, Carlos Sainz down at 150/1 could be a terrific each-way bet, just in case. Because who knows. This is going to be crazy.
