The Democrats laid out all the evidence. Much of it seeming to confirm the accusations leveled against the President are true. This means a bet on Donald Trump’s impeachment is a no brainer. At least in the House. However, as Bovada, one of the best online betting sites in the US, will tell you, not in the Senate. The senate seems set to stick to its guns. It will shoo the entire process along quickly before it starts to effect 2020’s election. Naturally, the democrats have other ideas.

“It’s not a failure of our constitutional duty to the house.” Said Adam Schiff defensively. The fact the Senate will almost certainly acquit the President has him on the back foot. It will look to some as if the Democrats wasted their time. The President may have indulged in “egregious conduct” but the way the rules work the Senate has the last say. They will say he’s innocent. So that bet on Donald Trump’s impeachment is already looking a tad unstable. Even as the Democrats try again.

House Impeachment Odds at Bovada

  • Yes – 1/18
  • No – 13/2

Schiff has also said that the President is “A clear and present danger” to democracy. That if Obama had done these things the Republicans would have impeached him fast. That Nixon’s crimes were far more minor than those Trump is alleged to have committed. Schiff tried everything. The Democrats bet on Donald Trump’s impeachment but forgot the Republican discipline. Like someone who likes to bet on sports in the US and backed the Cincinnati Bengals to win.

Democrats Face Defeat In November 2020

The Bengals terrible record this season has been, pretty much, consistent. The Republicans likewise never back down simply because it’s got tricky. Donald Trump is still their president and the Democrats were silly to think they would roll over on him. The party splitting into factions, for and against Trump, would kill them in November next. A bet on Trump in the 2020 US general election now looks better than a bet on Donald Trump’s impeachment.

The 2020 US election odds favoring the President is something else the Democrats shouldn’t be surprised by. Right or wrong, the process of hearings has not had the best of optics. Anyone in the US gambling laws and lawmakers are calm entities would have been exasperated. The theatrics and posturing were quite unseemly at times. What shape and scale the trial in the Senate will take is now up for grabs. Just don’t bet on Donald Trump’s impeachment in the Senate to be sensible.

Bet On Donald Trump’s Impeachment At Bovada

In the headlong rush toward next November, on a road potholed with primaries and caucuses, the parties become fixated. With a bet on Donald Trump’s impeachment having failed them the betting odds on the Democrats have widened. However, the Democrats have gone all in on this one. They can’t stop now, whatever happens nor however it makes them look. This means you can expect from them in the Senate what the Republicans tried, and failed at, in the House.

2020 Presidential Odds at Bovada

  • Michael Bloomberg – 14/1
  • Elizabeth Warren – 11/1
  • Pete Buttigieg – 11/1
  • Bernie Sanders – 8/1
  • Joe Biden – 11/2
  • Donald Trump – 10/11

So, with theatrical drama between now and their failure, the Democrats are sounding a little shrill. Trump is still 10/11 to win in 2020, Joe Biden only a distant 11/2 with no one else even close. Trump is thus the best bet at Bovada, one of the best online sportsbook sites in the US today. Many people bet on Donald Trump’s impeachment. It transpires they lost. Which will probably turn out to be very good practice for weathering the results in November next year.
