Fans of crime drama Mindhunter are waiting for the next season to be available on Netflix. It is one of the most famous shows on the streaming channel, so there is a big chance we can see new episodes in the future. Mindhunter is one of the latest and darkest Netflix series, which shows the work of two FBI agents. Not just any agents though, the special ones who have started to study serial killers and developed a new criminal field. It’s based on real-life stories and on the book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. 

It’s different from other crime dramas like Criminal Minds or True Detective as it’s set in the 1970s, not today. The series shows how the FBI has started to recognize the need to deal with serial killers and improve methods to capture them. According to internal sources, the director of the series, who is not else than David Fincher has had a five-season plan. Other famous serial killers are still to appear, so no surprise there are betting odds for Mindhunter Season 3 already. 

Betting odds for Mindhunter Season 3: will we see Ted Bundy?

Betting odds for Mindhunter Season 3 are already available with online sportsbooks in the US. You can bet on Ted Bundy’s appearance and double your money. His appearance has a 2.00 odds with 22Bet. It is likely that one of the most famous serial killers of all time will appear in the show. Ted Bundy is having his renaissance, last year a biographical film, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile has been released. Also both Netflix and Amazon Prime have shown documentaries about him, so his appearance in Mindhunter too might be a bit boring now. But who knows, maybe Fincher can think of a new way to show him. You can bet on Holden’s or Bill’s future

If you follow the series, you know that both FBI agents, Holden Ford and Bill Tench are having issues in their private life. So you can bet if Holden will be admitted to a psychiatric hospital with the odds of 5.00.  This can happen easily after his troubles in Series Two.  Holden’s character is very interesting though not very likable like most intelligent people. He is getting in a confrontation with almost everyone in the show, with his colleagues, mate, girlfriend. But strangely he was getting close to one of his interviewees,  serial killer Kemper. But after meeting him alone he got a panic attack, which comes back a few times later as well. So he might end up in a hospital after meeting another extreme person, like Bundy.

You can also bet if it will be shown that Bill’s son grew up as a serial killer. He is a strange boy, as we can see evidence of that in the third episode. Apparently he was suggesting to other boys to put the dead body of a young child on a cross. He is acting weirdly after the incident as well, no wonder a psychiatrist is meeting him weekly. The kid is actually so strange that Bill is wondering what kind of person he will be as an adult. We might not see the proof for that in the next season, as he is still a child and would need to go forward many years in the story. But it is a likely turn in the story, now with the odds of 4.94. 

The weirdest bet

You can win the biggest money with online gambling sites in the US if you bet that Series 3 will be about soviet maniacs, which has the odds of 10.00. It is a very strange assumption, though the series is happening during the era of the Cold War when both sides used spies to get information. But it still seems unlikely to have crazy soviets in the story after showing American serial killers so far. But you can win a lot if it happens, so make a bet if you believe in this Eastern turn.
