This is your last chance to make a killing on the Champions League, before it returns to action in February.
Wednesday’s games of round 6 will be the final set of Champions League matches in this calendar year, so make sure to use this chance now and back your favorite sides with online sportsbooks in EU. Although the fate of most groups have already been sealed, there could still be a few surprises which make for great football and even better odds.
Ajax v Bayern Munich – H 3.80 (14/5) D 3.80 (14/5) A 2.00 (1/1)
Both the Dutch and the German side have qualified for the knockout phase of the competition (they have 13 and 11 points, respectively) from Group E, but this match will be closely watched by many, nonetheless.
Between the two big sides they have conquered Europe 9 times (Ajax – 4, Bayern Munich – 5), which means that this game will be all about bragging rights. Ajax have won both of the home games so far, so they’ll be looking to make it 3 against Bayern, who have drawn with them 1:1 the last time they played at the Allianz Arena.
With neither of them in need of points, we think this might end up in another draw with goals, for which the odds are quite appealing. Although just to be safe, it might be prudent to make it a bet on Home/Draw, since the Dutch will be playing in front of the home support.
Shakhtar Donetsk v Lyon – H 2.25 (5/4) D 3.90 (29/10) A 3.10 (21/10)
Group F has left things late, as we could still see clubs change positions. Man City (10pts) only need a point to ensure they remain at the top of the group, while second-placed Lyon (7pts) will take on third-placed Shakhtar (5pts) in a match that will decide who goes forward and who gets relegated to the Europa League.
Both the Ukrainian and the French have been poor in their five group games so far, with each of them recording only 1 win. We’re not putting too much faith in either of them for the upcoming encounter, so perhaps the best option is to place a wager on another draw with providers of internet betting in Ukraine.
Valencia v Manchester United – H 2.60 (8/5) D 3.40 (12/5) A 2.90 (19/10)
Juventus (12pts) and Manchester United (10pts) have already secured their place in the last 16 of Europe’s elite competition, but the game between the Red Devils and Los Murcielagos could prove a thrilling one.
The last time Jose Mourinho’s side played in Spain at the beginning of October, they were held to a disappointing 0:0 draw that saw the Portuguese manager get a lot of criticism from the press about the way his side played.
With the match being played at Old Trafford this time around, will the result be any different, considering they’re through to the knockout phase or will they falter yet again? We’re thinking Man United could just end up winning this game.
