Spanish Gambling Authority Announce New Deputy Director General

Spanish gambling regulator has named Jose Antonio Garcia as replacement for Laura Gil who has left her post recently.
Following recent developments, the Direccion General de Ordenacion del Juego (DGOJ) has decided to make some management changes. The deputy director general of management and institutional relations of DGOJ, Laura Minguito Gil, has left her position. The regulator of Spanish gambling laws has named Jose Antonio Garcia to be her replacement.
The newly promoted Garcia has been working for the regulatory body since April 2013. He has been a technical advisor to DGOJ due to his excellent knowledge in telecommunication and his job within his previous role was to support the regulatory body by executing different kinds of ICT tasks and managing the economic budget.
Twelve new operators are aiming to enter the Spanish gambling market
The Direccion General de Ordenacion del Juegohas released a statement in the press after Laura Gil left her post. “The DGOJ management appreciates your great involvement, effort and work, without which it would have been possible to address multiple projects, internal and external projection, developed during this term.”
Meanwhile, Spanish gambling news report that 12 new operators applied for licence for entering the online betting market within the Mediterranean country. Nine of them are applying to provide betting services within the Iberian territory. They applied in December, and they will be given an answer in 6 months from the date of application.
