Although the revenues went up 42 percent from October, the peak month for 2014 was April. The results came from three Delaware-registered online gambling sites reported revenue of $240,762.
Online poker looked promising as figures went up 15 percent reaching $32,814 for October. This isn’t surprising since national online poker player numbers are up. All of the major sites are reporting a slight upswing because of the PokerStars’ December Festival.
New Player Sign-ups Down
Despite the higher revenue figures, Delaware still saw low numbers of new player sign-ups in Delaware. With only 308 player sign-ups, November saw the lowest numbers since online gambling in Delaware was legalized in November 2013.
Perhaps inspections could be a bit high considering Delaware’s population is less than 900,000 people. Delaware may not be capable of providing widespread options that many internet gamers have been accustomed to.
